I am finishing up a class on Church History II – from the Reformation to the present. It is fascinating.
Martin Luther was a pretty courageous guy! He single-handedly took on the entire Roman Catholic Church. Wow!
I wonder what would happen to our faith if it were to be “tested” to such extremes?
I cringe when I hear modern-day sectarians pompously conclude that Martin Luther was “not a Christian.”
The more I examine his commitment to Christ as Lord the more I wonder if I have any faith at all.

You should read more un-biased history of Luther and see if you arrive at the same conclusion.
He had more hate in his heart for people than Hitler. He was responsible for the deaths of 100,000 peasants in 1525 and called for the killing and erradication of Jews through the later years of his life.
His verbage about the Lord was nothing more than a politician speaking what people wanted to hear to edify himself.
I am a Christian and I was shocked to read what I did about him as well…
